For the first time a person with no known connection to Germany has become infected with E. coli (EHEC) in Sweden. "This means that the source of infection is in Sweden. It could mean that there is some form of contaminated food in circulation that we do not know about," says Sofie Ivarsson, epidemiologist at the Swedish Institute for Communicable Disease Control.
