Midsummer at Skansen

It is Midsummer eve, one of the most important Swedish holidays. As usual, many Stockholmers are planning to travel out into the archipelago. But also those who stay in town have a good chance to celebrate this Nordic tradition.
Midsummer celebration will be available in several parks in the city.
Vasaparken
Help to dress the Maypole. Then, there will be games, dance and a show by Brage guild.
Time: 12:30 - 15:00 pm
Vitabergsparken
In the leafy park of Södermalm, Midsummer is celebrated with games, fish pond and dancing around the Maypole.
Time: 13:00 - 16:00 pm
Skansen open-air museum
As usual Skansen celebrates Midsummer in a traditional manner. In the morning the children tie garlands of birch leaf at Orsakullen. At two o´clock is the Maypole raised on Tingsvallen. Then, it will be dancing and games. The evening continues with a dance show, concerts and more dancing.
