The image of a good Swedish economy holds, but signs of a slowdown have emerged. “We are entering a more mature phase with more moderate growth rates,” writes Statistics Sweden in a report. The first quarter GDP rose by 0.8 per cent, seasonally adjusted and compared with the fourth quarter, which is a clear slowdown. Household consumption is no longer a strong driving force, and the strong currency has stifled tourism. (Direkt)
