Gold for Sweden´s hockey juniors

The Swedish male hockey juniors became world champions yesterday after beating Russia with 1-0. Sweden dominated in the first two periods with 39 shots on goal compared with Russia's four. However Russia came back in the third period and had good chances.

The score was 0-0 after full-time. Sweden's Mika Zibanejad scored in sudden death and won the game for Sweden.

The match was played in Calgary, Canada.

The Swedish Junior team absolutely deserved to win that game. There´s no doubt they were the better side in all facets of the match. Brilliant goalkeeping, faster skating, great passing and, above all, awesome perseverance. The Swedes wanted to attack and win. The Russians sat back and waited for some breaks. Bravo to all those young players who showed how the game should always be played.
