Tram driver prosecuted for racist statements

A driver of a tram in Gothenburg is now prosecuted for 'racial agitation' after having spoken about young immigrants in an offensive way. It happened when he informed the passengers over the loud-speaker system that the train was delayed 'because to these wogs' who he claim was disturbing. The Swedish word he used was 'svartskallar', a Swedish term for immigrants which is commonly seen as degrading. It literally means 'black-head' originally referring to the hair color of many immigrants. (GP)
